Clearances used: 1 in (2.5 cm) on each side and between machines, 6 in (15 cm) behind for hoses and the vent, about 4 ft (122 cm) in front of front-loaders and 2 ft (61 cm) in front of top-loaders, and 2 ft (61 cm) above a top-load lid, based on the Whirlpool laundry sizing guide.
