Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Daily Space Hacks (dailyspacehacks.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, who it is shared with and the choices you have. Daily Space Hacks is run by Mohamed Elber, who is the data controller for this website. You can contact him at contact@dailyspacehacks.com.

Information We Collect

Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting server and analytics tools record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you and the time of your visit.

Information you give us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and your message. We use it only to reply to you and keep it no longer than needed to deal with your request.

Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and comment you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Comments are moderated before they appear. Your email address is never shown publicly. An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture.

Calculators. The measurements you type into our calculators are processed in your own browser. They are not sent to us or stored on our server.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for basic site functions (for example, remembering your details if you choose to when commenting), for analytics and, once advertising is enabled, for ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, added through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how many people visit, which guides are useful and how visitors find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device type and time on the site. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info or www.youronlinechoices.eu. For more details, see how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Consent for Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland

If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the privacy settings link shown on the site, or by clearing your cookies. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.

Pinterest and Other Links

Our “Save to Pinterest” buttons are simple links. Nothing is sent to Pinterest unless you click one; if you do, Pinterest’s own privacy policy applies. Our guides also link to other websites, such as government and safety sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Images and Hosting Services

The site is hosted on a web server that keeps standard access logs for security. Some images are delivered from a content delivery network (jsDelivr), which receives your IP address so it can send you the image.

Affiliate Links

We do not currently use affiliate links. If we add them in future, the retailer may use cookies to record that you came from our site, and we will update this policy and our Affiliate Disclosure.

How Long We Keep Information

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Comments and their details are kept as long as the comment is published. Analytics data is kept according to the data retention setting in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

Your Rights

UK and EEA visitors: under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases are consent (for analytics and advertising cookies where required), legitimate interests (for site security and spam prevention) and your request (when you contact us). You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK.

California visitors: under the CCPA you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.

To use any of these rights, email contact@dailyspacehacks.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EEA). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
